SUNETTE HUGO

Sunette is totally dedicated to her diversified work here at the Japan Mission:

- Neil Verwey (the founder of Japan Mission) writes a short e-mail about some aspect of Japanese life from a Christian perspective. Sunette sends around 4,000 of these e-mails out every Monday to all parts of the world! Do pray that they will be a blessing to those who receive them.

- As a lot of our supporters live in South Africa, Sunette handles all of the correspondence to those whose first language is Afrikaans. She is a vital link in the process of thanking people for their gifts and keeping them up-to-date with information for prayer. Do pray as people receive these letters that they too will be blessed and encouraged to continue praying for Japan.

- As an English Evangelism member she teaches English at a church in the Kansai area. Each lesson is concluded with a 10min. Scripture reading, short message and discussion (in Japanese).

- In response to a requesSunette and Mrs Fukunaga at the Old Peoples' Homet from a local Old People’s Home, Sunette teaches a group of old people English conversation and about Western Culture as an Occupational Therapy activity. Sunette sees this as a great opportunity to reach out to the elderly. Mrs. Fukunaga assists her in concluding each session with Scripture reading, a short message and singing hymns and gospel songs in both English and Japanese.

- She helps with the folding, packing and distributing of 27,000 Izumi pamphlets (written and compiled by Japanese Christians).

- She's a keen member of the prayer-meeting group.

Sunette also teaches Sunday School at the church she attends, Ikoma International Chapel. Please pray for her effectiveness as a teacher and for her students there.

Sunette asks you to please pray for her continued good health and spiritual growth so she can serve the Lord God here in Japan for many more years to come.
