We welcome short-term volunteers! Helping churches reach their communities for Christ is a core purpose of Japan Mission. Volunteers with professional skills can help us make a great difference. A team of mostly volunteers recently traveled to Toyama City, which is a city of 400,000 people with very few churches in rural Japan. This church was recently started with the vision to reach young people and is located across from Toyama University, which has about 5,000 students. The team was able to help the church raise funds, develop advertising, make a promotional video and build a website. These are all things that continued to help this church after the short-term outreach was finished. The team also helped the church by distributing literature, teaching English Conversation, setting up a fellowship area with refreshments and sharing the Word.
